Halls Carpet Inc. has been in business for 27 years, servicing both residential and commercial and stock a large amount of product for emergency jobs. Halls has a special niche market servicing the theatre and film industry. Their work is currently on stage at 3 Broadway shows and will be seen in the new TLC show ‘Married in Manhattan” where they carpeted Times Square for a wedding.

“Whenever you see a fashion show or opening party, Halls Carpet probably was involved. We purchased a tent and party rental company a few years ago to offer clients a broader range of products,” said Leslie.

“When we combine our inventory with the vendors we work with on the shows, we can create ANYTHING you can imagine anywhere you need it to happen. We are sent all over the country to work on shows including Miami for the Victoria’s Secret show. We had no trouble getting the installers to volunteer for that job! The shows use us because our installers do the same job you would get in your home only on a larger scale. We don’t just roll out the red carpet, we actually

cut around things and seam it together professionally,” Leslie added.

Creating custom logo rugs in the shop for clients such as Disney are probably the most rewarding work they do and get the biggest response at the event.

Mr. Hall is not the real face of the company. Clients joke that he is the “man behind the curtain” because they most always deal with the other employees. Good people are the reason Halls Carpet has been around so long. Good people are also the reason Leslie feels joining the New Hyde Park Chamber of Commerce was an excellent thing to do.

“The Chamber has allowed me help out many friends and clients simply by passing on a fellow Chamber members name and knowing they will come through to make me look good. My business and family have come to use Chamber members for accounting, insurance, and banking, even our gasoline and office supplies come from the Chamber,” said Leslie.
